When I select a link from email, text messages, news stories or shopping websites it opens a new page and I cannot get back to the original page to place an create an order or view an article etc. What has changed?

Thank you. I actually went to safari>websites>Reader and turned off Reader. This seems to have fixed my issue.

I'm not entirely clear what the issue is but, try going to Preferences>Tabs an uncheck "command-click opens a new tab".
