Upon reviewing Check your battery and charge your Apple Watch, we see no mention of charging your watch while it's set up in the position from your photo, but we do want to set some proper expectations.
We see that you've set up the charger to attach to the metal bar, with your watch attaching vertically to it. While we're not able to attest to the chance your watch will fall in this position and possibly get damaged, we do recommend any of the stands that are officially recognized as ones compatible with your watch on the Apple online store: Stands - Watch Accessories
