How do I get this annoying orange box to stop?

Your “formatted” your iPad? This isn’t a procedure that applies to iOS/iPadOS - as such some additional explanation as to precisely what you have done - and how - would be helpful.
Similarly, please provide information as to the iPad model and installed version of iOS/iPadOS. This information can be found here:

I'm not sure what that is. I found this iPad in a box at home and i formatted and reset it
