Eve energy automation to switch off after more than 5 minutes fails. HomeKit

I have an automation to trigger an Eve energy 2nd gen switch and switch off after a time period.

it is very buggy in that it works when the time to power off is less than 5 minutes. Anything longer hasn’t worked for me.

It fails both on a HomePod mini when it is the hub, and when the Apple TV is the hub.

I see this reported last year with no solution.

I found that the Eve energy was on the edge of the Bluetooth transmission limit. All working since moving hub closer to device.
