Grammar check in Pages

I have this turned off since it's nearly always wrong and annoys me, however it's still highlighting alleged errors.

Is there a way to stop this? My spelling and grammar are way better than Pages.

Can I keep spellcheck but turn off grammar? Hi. I’m having the worst luck with that annoying blue underline that will absorb a whole paragraph and screw it up beyond belief I’ll often want to drag my finger back up into it and add an “and” or something, but it won’t let me. It forces me to select the whole paragraph and accept its alternative, which is always gibberish. Pages can't even spell a 2 letter word! Since using the latest version of pages I have noticed it is randomly underlining correctly spelled words. I've been ignoring it up until now, but it has started becoming so annoying I'm convinced it is broken. Just to be certain, I have "check spelling by typing" switched on and nothing else. Today, it is insisting the word "by" is mispelled. I haven't asked Pages to check the grammar of the sentence it appears within, so why does it continue to pick out random words such as 'their', 'there' when they are correctly used. How can I stop it but keep the spell check on? I'd also like to know how I can get Pages to stop highlighting words it doesn't have in its spelling database (but clearly should).

Spell check weirdness: some words seen as wrong sometimes but not others? Sometimes, for some words, they're marked wrong sometimes but not other times. Also, sometimes for these words, if you right-click on them, there is no option to learn or ignore the word. Let me give you an example of the first problem here: And as for the second problem, when I right-click on say "Harmen" in the "Why, Harmen, why" sentence above, there is no option to ignore/learn.

Not to worry, did a restart and it's fine now.
