Hi apple!

i am using mac pro late 2013. I want to use egpu with Radeon RX 5500/5500XT/5600XT/5700/5700XT ADM card for 3D rendering work with redshift in Cinema 4D. Which egpu should I use to fulfill the above need.

hi, JiroMinh, sorry, but Apple doesn't reply or post here, you're not talking to Apple, just Mac users here same as you.... as for which one should you use to fulfill the about need, well, that sorta comes down to your budget, how much you can afford to/want to spend to get an eGPU. you might want to go to eGPU.io for more info on all things eGPU . you can use either a Mac-native or Mac flashed video/graphics card in your eGPU and it'll work fine.... the cards you've listed should be OK for that. the new crop of Radeon 6000 series will not work right out of the box unless they have been previously flashed to work on a Mac (in an eGPU or otherwise) and of course, right now, powerful video/graphics cards are in short supply and high demand, so prices on them are crazily high...... eg, on the AMD RADEON RX 6950 (which might be the most powerful video/graphics card available out there, at least for now) you'd be looking at a retail price of $1,444 (from AMD) . the Radeon RX 5700 XT won't be quite that expensive.... maybe $600.... I've also been told to stay away from XFX cards if you're planning on using them in an eGPU for your Mac, or in your Mac (for those that have swappable video/graphics cards) as they don't play nicely with Mac at all.....

anyways, enough out of me
