Hi Notw3ll,

We're not certain we have a full understanding of the question you're asking. Would you mind providing additional details?

As a starting point, this has some good general information on how you can Connect a Bluetooth device with your Mac.

This will help make sure you've set your audio output: Change the sound output settings on Mac

"You can play sound through your computer’s internal speakers, your display’s speakers (if it has speakers), or through speakers, headphones, or other equipment plugged into your Mac or available wirelessly through AirPlay.

1) On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, click Sound, then click Output.

2) Select the device you want to use in the list of sound output devices.

All sound output devices available to your Mac are listed, including the computer’s internal speakers, devices plugged into your computer’s sound port, USB speakers, and AirPlay devices.

For any device plugged into the computer’s sound port, choose Headphones.

3) Do any of the following to adjust your sound output settings:

    • Adjust the balance: Drag the Balance slider.
    • Adjust the volume: Drag the Output volume slider.
    • Stop sound output: Select the Mute checkbox.
    • Show a volume control in the menu bar: Select the “Show Sound in menu bar” checkbox so you can turn the volume up or down from anywhere. You can use the dropdown menu to choose whether to show Sound in the menu bar only all the time or only when it’s active."

Thanks in advance!

Hey Notw3ll,

It sounds like you're looking to stream audio from different apps on your Mac to multiple devices.

That would not be an option that is available in macOS. When streaming audio to a Bluetooth device, it would stream all audio being played on your Mac.

If you'd like to leave feedback or suggestions for Apple regarding this, you can do so here: Product Feedback - Apple

Thanks!

For clarification and as an example. I am bluetoothing music to my home from a macbook M1 pro. Others are also listening to this music. I want to browse various websites (ie Youtube) while bluetoothing music to my home. The YouTube audio also plays along side the music through the Bluetooth device so everyone hears it. Is there a way to have music bluetoothed to my home, but keep the browser audio separated and confined to the MacBook so only I can hear it. Safari uses macbook internal speakers and Apple Music uses the Bluetooth device. Is there a setting that will allow me to do this?
