Power Pack for MacBook Pro 2016

Hi!

Can anyone recommend a power pack for a MacBook Pro 2016 with 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports? I don't need tons of power, just enough to keep my laptop on for 5 or 6 hours.

I saw good reviews for the ZMI Power Pack, but unfortunately there are none in stock on Amazon or at the company's site.

I assume that a Power Pack that supports USB-C will work on my MacBook?

Your battery is more than sufficient to do that unless you are heavily loading the Mac or the battery is worn out.

Any battery pack capable of powering in a Mac for an extended period of time will be at least he same size as a Mac battery. I'd think it better to just get a new battery installed if it's worn out.

Or keep the charger handy. Sooner or later, 5-6 hours?, even the battery pack will need recharging and its charger is likely larger than the Mac's.

You'll have to move no matter what. Even the highest capacity external "battery pack" will need charging sooner or later.

How old is your battery? What's its current capacity? coconutBattery is a good app to easily get the remaining capacity.

Your situation sounds exactly like my 2016 MBP. It's capacity is sitting at 89%, has been there for a couple of years, and 5-6 hours doing what you describe is about right for it.

My wife's 2020 MBP gets roughly double the run time, but it's remaining capacity is in the mid to high 90s.
