I recently relocated to the US and wanted to switch to a local operator but I was told that I my phone was regionally locked on Europe. Threw away my receipt while moving out.
Do you have any idea about how I can go about unlocking the other regions?

Once you enable the phone with a carrier that takes precedence over the region lock. The carrier you had used in Europe should be able to unlock the phone.

Thanks for your response. My iPhone is not locked on a carrier. From what I understood it just got locked in Europe. Therefore it cannot be used in any other parts of the the world. I have previously changed operators without a problem.

The iPhone was not locked on any carrier in Europe unless I’m mistaken.
I’m not sure I understand the iPhone activation lock. 😊
