Scratches on Airpods Pro

I recently dropped my Airpods Pros on the concrete, which made a dent in the metal part at the bottom of the Airpods. I heard that that's where the Airpods make contact with the case to charge. Will the dent possibly damage the charging system or is it just cosmetics?

how to clean inside of AirPods case? my AirPods have some black marks on the inside of the charging case, they are either a gen 1 AirPods or gen 2. I’m not sure what type they are yet. Any solutions?
