When I play PUBG MOBILE on my iPad air 2 while it's charging the screen freezes frequently. The in game buttons don't work at all causing a nuisance..

Not much to be done when you are trying to play a really super internal hardware resource intensive mobile game on an 8-year old iPad model.
Also, depending on the storqge size of the device and how much of that storage is left or used up, this could affect game performance, as well.
