I message or FaceTime I get “an error occurred during authentication”.

When I try to sign in to my Mac book with I message or FaceTime I get “an error occurred during authentication”. I am signed in under my correct Apple ID and trying to sign in with the correct Apple ID. Anything I can do to fix this.

Try a restart of your laptop and then try logging in again. Make sure that you do not accidently have Cap Lock on.
