Cannot Verify Server Identity Pop Up

I have consulted multiple threads about this and nothing seems to work. I even got a brand new phone and it’s still happening. See the screen shot below for the constant error message I get. I have to hit Cancel four times in a row sometimes to get it to go away.

I only have one Gmail account on my phone. I’ve changed the password and updated it in my phone. I’ve deleted it and re-added it. I’ve restarted my phone. I’ve deleted Google calendar from my phone completely. I’m at a loss of what to do to fix this persistent issue.

I really hope someone can assist!! I’ve tried everything else I’ve seen on other community threads. Thanks in advance :)

What happens when you click the "Details" on the error popup message (See the Pic below)

Best would be to Delete and Add the email account that is creating the issue.

You may also try changing SSL settings

Settings > Password & Accounts > [Select the Mail account} > [Tape on Account with the email ID} > Advanced > SSL Settings > [Disable]

Click <Account (in Blue)

Click on DONE (in Blue) when exiting in the previous screen

Thanks! I can't make it pop up again right now to send a screenshot of what happens when I click on "details" - but it just brings me to a screen that shows technical details. There are no actions available to perform. It's all very technical information that is over my head and means nothing to me. I tried Google searching this but didn't find a solution.

I have already deleted and re-added it over and over, so that doesn't work either.

If I didn't use SSL, wouldn't that then make it easier for someone to hack into the account? I don't want to turn this off for security reasons. This is where I found that information: https://www.techtarget.com/searchsecurity/answer/Should-iPhone-email-be-sent-without-SSL-encryption

I toggled it off, saved, then went back on and put it back. I don't want to keep this off, though.

Other than that, I've tried everything else I've seen. Thanks!
