My MBP "sees" my router, but won't stay connected long enough to hit the Apply button.

New machine, never connected to this WIFI.

It sees the modem by name but after a few seconds goes to blank. Never gets past the connection screen. No request for password.

fyi; my Surface, and both iPhones, are connected

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 12.3
