Edit reading list

Over time I have accumulated a huge long list of items saved to my Safari reading list. I would like to cut it down drastically. Doing so one item at a time in the browser itself will take a very long time. Is there any way I can export it. Cut it down to reasonable size. And then import it back into Safari?

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, EricWeir,

If we understand your post correctly, you're trying to remove pages from your reading list in Safair. We’d like to help.

There is not a way to export your reading list to edit. To remove pages from your reading list:

  1. "Show your reading list in the side bar: "Show or hide your Reading List: Click the Sidebar button  in the toolbar, then click Reading List. To hide the list, click the Sidebar button again."
  2. "Remove a page from your Reading List: Control-click the page summary in the sidebar, then choose Remove Item."
