Uploading personal music to cloud

My iTunes library, partly from CDs and partly from iTunes, is on an external hard drive. I would like to upload it to iCloud so I can access it from my laptop and iPhone 13. I'd also want my wife to be able to access it. Is it better to use Apple Music or iTunes Match to do this?

Apple Music does all that iTunes Match does, but also lets you add almost anything from the iTunes catalog to your iCloud Music Library for as long as your subscription is active. Apple Music also comes with a family version,. Normally you would want to keep your Apple IDs separate so your wife would have here own collection of music, though there is no reason why you cannot copy some of your tracks to her library. An iTunes feature called association makes it difficult to manage cloud libraries for two different IDs on one computer, hopefully she has her own.
