When watching Netflix on Mac, if I add my iPad Pro using airplay the video goes black but sound keeps playing. Disconnecting the iPad results in picture returning

When watching Netflix on Mac (Safari browser), if I add my iPad Pro as an extended screen using airplay the video goes black but sound keeps playing. Disconnecting the iPad results in picture returning. How to fix? Both Mac and iPad on same wifi and both up to date software.

I believe this is an anti-piracy measure by Netflix. There is no fix. they've made it impossible to do.
