Blocked number getting through

I keep trying to block someone because I am beyond sick of hearing from them but I keep receiving their texts. Help?

Make sure all contact entries for this person are blocked:

Block phone numbers, contacts, and emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
