Mac Pro doesn't accept my wifi's password

I recently installed Xfinity wifi and internet service. My iPhone 11 Pro and three PC Windows computers all can log onto the new wifi service from Xfinity. However, my 2012 Mac Pro states that the "Password isn't valid" and refuses to log onto the wifi. Has anyone had a similar problem and found a solution?

The general solution on your Mac is to delete that network, then connect to it again. Then it will also demand a [new] password as if it were brand-new-to-you, and you can proceed.

first check the "ask to join" box here:

Then, use the (advanced) button to get access to more detailed panes.

select the network on this pane, and use the [-] button below the list to delete it.

Do not worry, it will be available to be re-selected.

then click on the Wi-Fi Icon on the Menubar.

Form there, you can re-select your network, which will no longer have a password. so a you must enter a password.
