It looks like you need to log into your Peacock account from a web browser to apply the promo code. See the following from Peacock:
"Promotional codes can be redeemed in the checkout page during registration. You can also add a promotional code to your account at any time, in the Plans & Payments tab in your account."
How do I redeem a promotional code for a Peacock plan?
