Final Cut Pro import

Importing clip into FCP and the audio and video are separated. Has anyone else seen this before?

iMac 27″, macOS 12.5

I have not seen this before. How are you importing?

Does the source appear as two clips in the browser, and audio clip and and a video clip?

If you are dragging the clip directly to the timeline, go to the View menu and see if you have "Hide Audio Lanes" as a choice on the menu. If so, select it.
