Choose carrier or no-carrier?

I’m going to order a new IPhone 14 Pro, pay in full not monthly. I will be using it on Mobile for now, but want to know if there is any advantage of me saying TMobile vs saying No Carrier. e.g. activation, charges, ease of activation, whether Phone is locked to Tmobile or not. What is best? Thank you.
