Gmail problem Apple iphone 4

Team,

my old iphone 4 is receiving hotmail loud and clear.

But not Gmail, which now gives <Error 403 - disallowed agent> (or some such statement).

I can get into online Gmail with the right username password,etc. no problem.

Ive seen this same question on this forum before but no real answers.

Note: Ive also got a sign-in issue (log-in rejected) using Gmail on my Windows LiveMail on my Win7 desktop.

Please reply if youve ACTUALLY solved this one
