New MacBook but its battery does not stay at 80%

How do I set the battery saving mode to 80%. Sometime I need it to go to 100%, but do not know how to reverse to let go back to 80%. Regardless of what my selections under battery or power adaptor, it stays at 100%. Is there any where else to go and change this to go back to 80%?

You do not have to micro-manage battery charging or put on hold on charging—let the BHM software manage this for you.

— the rule of thumb is if you are near the mains leave it plugged in, if you need the portability the run on battery only.

— even BHM does not lock in @ 80% BHM is dynamic it is not absolute..

—BHM learns as it goes, and will make appropriate changes for long term battery health.

—you still have an expected 1000 cycle count
