Two Phones two IDs

I have two Iphones, one business one personal. They have separate Apple IDs but now Apple seems to think that my business phone is my personal phone and is asking me to sign into my business phone with my personal details and on trying to do so it says that the password is incorrect and wants to send a reset for the business phone to my personal email account. How do I separate out the two phones again?

Did the business phone ever use the personal Apple ID in the past? Where is it asking you to sign into the personal Apple ID? Are there apps that have updates in the App Store that were downloaded using the personal ID?

If there are apps that need updating, you can try setting up Family Sharing between the IDs if you want to be able to share purchases made with the IDs.
