Thanks for your reply. I have read those articles before and they were helpful. However none of them answer my question as to why, when my phone is completely shut down I am having data usage when I'm sleeping. If it continues I will contact my carrier in hopes of answers and then I will start turning off all data before shutting down.

it shows data being used at the time I am sleeping.

Go to -> Settings.

(1) Tap Mobile network -> Mobile data options -> tap Roaming -> scroll down.

-> Data saver mode -> set Off or On, read the info.

-> Restrict IP address tracking -ON -> by hiding your IP address from unknown trackers in Mail and Safari.

You can turn it Off if you wish.

(2) Scroll to Mobile Data -> check.

Turn off 'everything', and the next morning see what kind of error you get. Then you know which service is using data.

Contact your carrier, request a printout.
