Iphone 14 International (with SIM card slot)
Hi, does anyone know if, after launch, it'll be possible to buy an international iPhone 14 with a SIM slot in the USA?

Absolutely - subject to the same “Carrier Lock” rules which have always existed.
I expect many more carriers to roll-out eSIM prepaid “cards” (really just a QR code one scans to initiate provisioning) fairly rapidly.
The technology is “there” as evidenced by Apple’s “All In” commitment in the U.S. where eSIMs have been online - if not exactly widespread - for about 4 years.
eSIM is NOT unique to North America.

Until Apple announces otherwise … ALL iPhone 14s sold in the US will be eSIM only.
I would NOT hold my breath waiting for that to change.
I WOULD expect eSIM prepaid plans to become more available worldwide.
You’re certainly welcome.
IMO the only “loosers” in this are the manufacturers of the physical SIM card stock; but they should be able to survive making EMV “chip” credit cards for the foreseeable future.
Gotcha, so a follow up question, a US eSIM phone would not be able to be used with an international carrier, say, in the UK, right? Until the carriers themselves start offering it?
Understood. Thanks so much for your prompt and helpful replies!
