NordVPN speed issues - IPhone 12 mini great…IPad Air 2 not so good

I have an IPad Air 2 and an IPhone 12 mini. Both are on the same IOS version, both have NordVPN installed (same version). With the same settings. My ISP is providing 160 Mbps download speed. When I do a speed test without VPN enabled, I get 160+Mbps. Turn on NordVPN and the IPhone it getting almost 160Mbps(all good!). Turn on VPN on IPad and I get a max of 71 Mbps. I’ve deleted the app, rebooted it, reinstalled it and no difference. How can IPhone & IPad be so different). Same happening with Windows PC as the Ipad. Any thoughts appreciated. NordVPN support is struggling to give me an answer what the differis between IPhone & Ipad.
