Calendar constrains time length for events even if editing Start and End times.

Set up an Event in Calendar. Time start late afternoon (3:00PM), time end at Midnight (12:00AM).

Realized I set the AM/PM incorrectly to PM. Tried to edit the End Time to AM. Time Start moved ahead automatically. Edited Time Start for Event, Time End automatically moved forward. Why?

Has nothing to do with Time Zone, Event length seems to constrain the Event Start & Stop times. How to make this stop?

That is working as designed. Once you have a start and end time the duration is maintained. You would have to change both to change the duration, or tap on a duration below the start and end times.
