I can't log in to the Apple TV app on my TV, despite rechecking my password multiple times. I think this may be due to having 2 factor verification, but I can't figure out how to turn it off.

On what model TV do you have the Apple TV app? List of Apple TV app-supported devices - Apple.

There is a special issue with some Sony models: discussions.apple.com/thread/252691729.


Two-factor authentication is supported on all modern devices with Apple sign-in. It helps the user and Apple to keep accounts secure. It is mandatory for some functionality. If you have your trusted Apple device(s) or trusted phone with you, then you can receive verification codes. Once TFA is activated for two weeks, it is permanent.
