iPhone 13 bought afresh in Feb 2022 is not launching apps and not responding to power key

  1. This iPhone was bought in Feb 2022 from an apple authorised physical store.
  2. It is not opening any app since 1255hrs 12 Sep 22.
  3. Touch input is being recognised. Scrolling is still feasible. Action centre and Notification centre is also functional. However, it is unable to open even critical sys app like settings, camera, and phone.
  4. Power key is only working to wake Siri. However, even Siri is not working. It just pops up below when I long press power key.
  5. Unable to Lock Screen. Single click function of power key is not working. as of now screen locks as per set timing.
  6. Unable to shut down/restart the phone due to no response of power key.


Can someone throw some light into this pls.

such an issue was never expected from iPhone.

If a button or switch isn't working on your iPhone or iPad, here are a few steps that might fix the issue. If they don't, you'll need to set up a repair. Remove any protective films or cases that might block the button or switch. Check for debris or dirt around the button or switch and clean with a soft cloth.
