Airpods (Gen 1) connection rejected on MacBook Pro

I’ve a MacBook Pro from 2013 and I’m facing this problem since the first Airpods launch.

When I try to connect my Airpods to my MacBook, the connection gets rejected and I’m not able to use them with my MacBook, but with my iPhone works perfectly.

I’ve tried :

  • delete AirPods from Blutooth devices list and repair them (MacBook detects perfectly the Airpods)
  • killing the “bluetoothd” process and restarting
  • reset SMC and restarting

The problem is not a MacOS problem because the OS is up-to-date and the problem appeared years ago.

Thanks for the help

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.3
