Apple Watch question

Do any of the apple series watches allow you to answer your iphone with the watch without LTE on the watch? I do not understand the need to pay for LTE services on the watch. I mean I get it you would not have to have your cell to answer a call but I carry my cell with me everywhere so do not need a LTE on a watch. I see the new series 8 only comes with LTE so can someone advise?

While in range of your iPhone, you can answer a call on your watch. With a GPS Only Apple Watch, you can only answer a call from your iPhone while within that range. With an LTE Apple Watch, you can answer a call from your iPhone anywhere within range of cell service, even with your phone being miles away.

The Series 8 comes with a GPS or a GPS + Cellular option. If you are not looking to pay the extra 10$ per month* on your carrier bill, go with the GPS option. It's also 100$ cheaper than the GPS + Cellular option.

The Apple Watch Ultra only comes with a GPS + Cellular option, but you do NOT have to activate cellular if you do not want to.

Hope this helps!
