Hey nicolai230,

If your iPad is shutting down unexpectedly, we'd recommend the steps in this article as they also address issues with unexpected shutdowns: If your iOS or iPadOS device restarts or displays the Apple logo or a spinning gear unexpectedly - Apple Support

"Check your software

  1. Make sure that your device has the latest version of iOS or iPadOS and that your apps are up to date. If the issue continues after updating your software and apps, check your hardware.

  2. Check your hardware
  3. On an iPhone 6 or later, check your battery health under Settings > Battery > Battery Health.
  4. If your battery doesn't need service, and your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch continues to frequently restart or turn off, contact Apple Support.
  5. If your apps quit unexpectedly, learn what to do.
  6. If your device has a frozen screen, doesn't respond, or becomes stuck when you turn it on, learn what to do for iPhoneiPad, or iPod touch."

If that doesn't help, the issue is likely hardware related which would require service. You can learn more about iPad service options here: iPad Service & Repair - Apple Support

If you need further assistance, or help setting up service, contact Apple Support here: Apple Support

Thanks!
