KVM switch resets keyboard options...
So I have an M1 Mac Mini and a Windows 10 PC. I use a KVM switch to switch my Apple Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad, my Magic Trackpad 2, and my monitor between the two computers.
Recently, within the past month or so, I noticed that when I switch to my PC and then back to my Mac, the Delay Until Repeat option in the Keyboard settings in the System Preferences gets moved to the next-to-the-longest setting, when I normally keep it on the shortest setting.
Every time I switch to my PC and back to my Mac, I have to go in and change that setting in System Preferences. It didn't always do this -- I've had this setup for a bit over a year now, and it's only begun doing in in the past month or so.
I'm running MacOS Monterey 12.1 on a 2020 M1 Mac Mini. The keyboard and mouse are *NOT* connected via Bluetooth -- they are plugged in via their charging cables to the USB ports on the KVM switch. I simply do not use their Bluetooth capabilities at all.
So, how do I get this thing to remember the Delay Until Repeat setting? It is growing quite tiresome having to change it manually every time I switch.
Thanks,
Mac mini, macOS 12.1
