iOS 16 update on iPhone messed up scrolling swiping. How do I fix? I've rebooted iPhone XR, but scrolling swiping continues to stutter or not respond.
have you tried forced restarting the iPhone? If your iPhone won't turn on or is frozen – Apple Support (UK)
I turned off Do not Disturb focus setting and all screen left-right swipe buttons appeared. Don’t know if this reset a flag or if even permanent.

After receiving help from 4 very courteous and knowledgeable apple support folks over a 2-day period, I gave up and bought a new 14. I had 3 options: mail it in for repair, drive 2.5 hours to nearest Apple Store for repair, or buy a new phone. Since I had an XR, it was more practical for me to buy a new iPhone.
