Apple (2015) screen glitch

In the last few months my 2015 AppleTV has started a bleed-through image flash issue. The screen distorts and shows the screen behind the screensaver.

It was isolated to flashing in the screensaver at first which wasn’t a big deal but it now happens randomly, including while watching a program. I’ve been able to initiate it by turning the screensaver on and sometimes it stops when I navigate away from the screensaver. Sometimes the flashing continues into all screens until I use the mic/siri.

I’ve now upgraded the HDMI to the cord Apple sells/recommends. I’ve also factory reset, which was extremely disappointing to lose 7 years of saved items. The issue is still happening and seems to have actually gotten worse.

The AppleTV is older but works perfectly other than this awful image flashing.

What else can I try (without losing everything again) to stop it?
