phone locked up while updating

My phone has been locked up in an update cycle for more than 4 hours. How do I force it out of this cycle? How do I get it to recover?

Hello jb.29, Try a Forced Restart to recover. If you have a successful restart to an iCloud backup and then try your update agan.
