WatchOS 9 removed the old Modular watch face and renamed the Infographic Modular to Modular. How can I get the old Modular back? I need the larger numbers for some of the complications like temperature.

If you actually read the thread you just posted to, you'd see no one on this user to user only forum has anything to do with Apple nor does anyone here have any ability to bring anything back. It's usually good to read past the first post.
There is a feedback link posted multiple times in the thread, which you can use to let Apple know what you want.

I just had a great convo with an Apple person about this issue, and that person convinced me that I should reiterate this here: If you care about seeing the Modular face again and you have not already, you should file your thoughts on the feedback form for Apple Watch, which is at: Feedback - Watch - Apple

You cannot rollback to the previous version of watchOS.
There is an iOS app called Watchsmith. It allows you to customize the complications on the Watch.
It may give you some of the characteristics you desire on your watch.
There is a free and a subscription version.
I agree with all the comments here and it’s certainly validating to read how they all reflect exactly how I feel and that this change is even agist. But like others have said and I’ve just done, please take a moment to lodge a complaint here (go to link below) so we can hopefully be heard by Apple since they don’t read comments here. Power in numbers.
As anyone signed up for email notifications can see, the forum hosts don't take kindly to threats of lawsuits against Apple.

I have also personally brought this thread of comments to the attention of folks who have the ability to alert Apple engineers to this issue you feel so strongly about.
You seem to be under the impression this is OUR forum. It is a user to user only forum hosted by Apple to let users ask other users for technical support. There is nothing anyone here can do to bring back a watch face Apple chose to remove. Complaining about here is a waste of your time as we don't work for Apple, nor do we have any ability to do anything about what Apple chooses to do with their software.
This is NOT a complaint forum. You come here and ask a technical support question. For example: What happened to the Modular Watch Face? Answer: Apple chose to remove that watch face and you'll need to find something else which meets your particular needs.
Anything else, such as getting mad, threatening law suits, won't be tolerated by the forum administrators.

Posting here is only posting to other users. Posting here is NOT to Apple. Apple changes things. They have in the past. They will in the future. But if enough people provide feedback through the link which has been posted over and over and over, maybe Apple will change their position on this. They have on occasion done so.
If you want Apple to listen to you, use the link. Otherwise, you're wasting your time complaining here.

What Sam said is only a partial solution. 9.2 seems to have restored one complication. The additional complications and the face itself are still missing. The Infographic Modular (ie the new fake “Modular”) is still not the same as the original Modular, and there is still not any solution for most of what was taken.
apple watch product feedback now includes OS 9 as an option. Please go back and send a feedback suggestion of the old modular face in each of the feedback topics they list!
