WatchOS 9 removed the old Modular watch face and renamed the Infographic Modular to Modular. How can I get the old Modular back? I need the larger numbers for some of the complications like temperature.

If you actually read the thread you just posted to, you'd see no one on this user to user only forum has anything to do with Apple nor does anyone here have any ability to bring anything back. It's usually good to read past the first post.
There is a feedback link posted multiple times in the thread, which you can use to let Apple know what you want.
OK.......But it won't do anything to get the watch face back you want.
It helps to read before just piling on.

That's exactly how I use it, too. Speaking of larger numbers, I honestly feel like Apple despises older adults. Between their native fonts and lack of contrast everything seems geared to kids with sharp vision.
I am also struggling with the "new" Modular watch face. The date and time (literally the most important aspects of any watch!!) are too small to read. I have given up and have started using my old analog watch again.
I am SO frustrated with the new modular face! There is no option to put the day/date in the middle. What is Apple thinking!?! The least they could do is keep the old face too! They added a second modular face and that is worse! Can we roll back the update? Very upsetting.
I agree! Please bring it back or allow a roll back. The complication for "weather" no longer allows a view that shows city and current weather. It is now only allowing for a much smaller 5 day view. Please bring back the original design feature ASAP. Thank you! (Or add an option within the complication so you can choose!)
YES! I thought I was going crazy. I used to use the infograph modular face and have the activity in the middle without the activity graph. So it would just show move goal -xxx, exercise goal - xxx stand goal - xxx under each other and then my 3 complications buttons underneath! this was simple and effective. now I have to use modular and a stupid graph in the middle of the screen for activity and its so ugly and overcomplicated! D: majorly disappointed.

Everyone who doesn't like it should absolutely submit feedback. As should people who really like it.
Personally, despite having needed reading glasses for going on twenty years, I don't have any particular feelings about it one way or the other. It's a face I use (though not exclusively) and it's fine.

People find it very useful to see the city they’re in at a glance.

Did you tell Apple?
You can do that from watch itself, and not from the phone app.
> select the modular face
> long press the screen on watch to customise.
> swipe left
> select the box you want to customise.
> use crown to select from options.
I've posted a second feedback on the Apple Watch feedback site and reported this as an accessibility defect in Watch OS 9.0. Like many others I can no longer read the TEMP or the DAY/DATE which now only appears top right because they've removed the option to support a LARGE DAY/DATE in the center complication.
I now need my glasses to see those values but I don't need my glasses while driving so this has certainly taken away the watches' fitness for purpose for me. I guess there's no need to rant about this also being simply a stupid thing to do and why you wouldn't simply leave the existing options available but it does make me feel better :-)! Happy Veterans Day to those who served!
