How can I get the old Modular Watch face back?

Thanks for confirming. And I agree, would never think coming here to complain is the main purpose. In fact, it’s that very point — posting here has virtually no effect — that prompted me to concur by commenting on and reposting the feedback link, as it was getting buried in all the aggregating comments.  

Certainly visitors here can even rave about the new face (hence my preemptive comment earlier about free speech that another took way too literally)… but I guess I’m just confused as to why? We’re here to troubleshoot the new face and to try to get the old face back. If someone likes the new face, great, nothing more to be done, enjoy. So I didn’t get why such a comment would be pertinent/helpful in this thread (unless it’s to point out an improved aspect of the new face that the rest of us are all overlooking). But no, not stopping anyone, don’t worry.

TBH, joke or not, us here being accused as ageist or declaring this site as undemocratic/lacking freedom of speech is, IMHO, what I call vinegary, unnecessary, off-topic. As a Level 1, this thread is the very first time I’ve ever chosen to post (and I can count on one hand my total public posts *anywhere* online) but I was moved to repost the feedback link, in desperate hope of us lobbying Apple to bring the old face back. 

I’ve invested time and sincere effort here to clarify/explain intents and it’s just exhausting/feels hopeless. So don’t fear me posting “all over the forums” after this. I cannot compare to you Level 9/10 folks (min 50k/80k posts?) - I really have no more time/desire nor do I get a rise out of picking apart benign posts. But I’ve certainly been reminded of why people hate social media so I’ve just toggled the handy button to unfollow and I leave in peace and relief.

If your intent were to find out if you can change the face or to find out how to tell Apple you're not happy with the decision, there really wouldn't be much for you to explain or clarify.

This is so true AveryAK! For a company that’s always touting how much they do for “accessibility” this is the complete opposite. It clearly shows that unless their designer is on the “accessibility design team” they really have no clue, and don’t care for the broad customer base.

I agree, so frustrating that the date and time are the least flexible complications in terms of location and size and yet the most important.

They kept the Mickey Mouse face…why not just keep the Modular and add the Infographic?

Apple use to think through these decisions affecting user experience…that’s what set them apart. I hope they aren’t abandoning user experience for the sake of ‘new’.

You are so right!!!! I have called everyone and emailed and text everyone i could think of with NO LUCK!!! What can we do??? Why get rid of a good thing. I see No reason to take it away. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!! I work in a Hospital and use my watch everyday Now it’s not worth it!!!

I have been chatting with apple all morning. I turned off the middle complication removing that stupid 5-day forecast. I am not interested in the wind, rain, UV index, my schedule, or any other option they have listed. You do have to scroll way up to the top to see the off choice. I did ask that Apple please make the middle have an option for the time, so that would be our focal point, and we could change the top right to something else....or not lol. She submitted a ticket for this.

Thank you. I am hating the new modular face just because I can’t see it. I tried the extra large face and you can add the date on there but I miss my temp being on there. If they added a couple of extra complications on the extra large would be good also.

I just updated my watch to find the same problem. After 3 years using the same face it was deleted on me overnight. This is the second time Apple has removed features from my watch. The first was Force Touch which worked better then the replacement.

It really sucks. You can’t even have a dark background. Everything looks washed out. I would have never updated if I knew. I’m going to change my setting to stop automatically updating. I need to make sure they didn’t do anything stupid before updating. Like this change.

Certainly your choice to not update. But a very good choice. By not updating you skip important security updates, which protect you and your data. And you miss options you might enjoy or appreciate.

It's never bothered me when Apple changes watch faces, which they routinely do. I change faces a lot and just go find something new to use for a while.

The Modular face and complications were perfect for people with poor vision. This is not to mention the fact that this was a very functional face.

all the other faces and not the Modular face are hard to see.

Why on earth remove it? Bring it back and ad whatever you want.

I’m sorry this is why I don’t post on social media media. I am unfamiliar with the rules.. watch face is a serious issue for people with poor vision. What’s the use of your form if I can’t post what is on my mind.

So, eventually this thread did get to Apple through a Moderator?

I am sure many (All?) of us used the Apple feedback AND vented on this thread.

For that person saying this is not a complaint forum and only a technical forum.

This is a platform for users to ask questions, request information, voice their opinion on or about Apple products. If we have enough users complain, and other sites see the complaints, they may make it more publicly known. and, we may get that feature back.

This place is not a place to keep quiet about the technical limitation Apple has implemented.
