why is apple not letting me restore my iphone 12 is because i have a bad computer or is apple just trash?

So i work at a warehouse and it tends to get hot which results in sweat. While my phone was in my pocket the sweat went through my pocket and it kept trying to unlock my phone. By the time i got done my phone was locked (and still is) and when i went on itunes to try and fix it the restore button wouldn't even register then i watched a youtube video that told me to take it off my apple account to "take the password off" but the phone is still locked and now i have so way of unlocking it even through itunes. What do i do and why is apple always messing up. you all really need to fix your products.
