migration assistant

Migration assistant.

I have just received my 2021 16” macbook pro - using migration assistant, all seems to have been ok.

EXCEPT Apple Mail.

It sends me through a tedious confirmation system for all my icloud and google emails, because I changed computer.

Is there a way to make this system automatical or is this just a way of Apple telling you not to buy and upgrade new models computer? I use about 25 emails and it is enormously tedious, particularly as I changed phone number.

Hi alicantefm,

Migration Assistant is a great way to transfer account information and data to a new Mac. Another option to move all of your data would be to use a Time Machine backup for that migration. It's possible that due to security factors, you may still need to authenticate some services such as your Apple ID, iCloud or email accounts after the change to continue using those services. For further questions, use Get Support to contact Apple directly.
