Favourites tab on Safari

Since last software update whenever I create a new favourite page on either my IPad or IPhone the new favourite pages now come up on top of the list on favourite tab. This is a pain particularly on IPad as the favourite pages that run below the address bar are a quick shortcut to the pages I most use.

Is there any way to get the new favourites you create to go to bottom of list as they did previously? Many thanks.

Hi Lubolu,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with the order in which you see your Favorites in Safari. We'd like to help.

While the steps are similar on both your iPad and iPhone, we'll provide you some steps that are specific to each device. This will allow you to go in and reorder the list that you currently see. You can also customize other things about your Bookmarks too.

Bookmark a website in Safari on iPhone - Apple Support

View and organize your bookmarks
1. Tap the Show Bookmarks button.
2. Tap Edit, then do any of the following:
* Create a new folder: Tap New Folder at the bottom left, enter a name, then tap Done.
* Move a bookmark into a folder: Tap the bookmark, tap below Location, then tap a folder. Tap the Back button to return to your bookmarks.
* Delete bookmarks: Tap the Delete button.
* Rename bookmarks: Tap the bookmark, enter a new name, then tap Done.
* Reorder bookmarks: Touch and hold The Reorder button, then drag the bookmark to a new location.

For your phone, you'll want to click Favorites after tapping the Bookmark icon to be able to edit those specifically.

Hope that helps.

Take care!
