Anyone else having issues playing videos now after upgrading to iOS16 using the HDMI adapter? Tubi doesn’t work. Amazon doesn’t work. It plays but as if it’s in slow motion. Videos I purchased play just fine.
any help or ideas are greatly appreciated!

Yes, Apple still signing iOS 15.7 updates, and you can rollback to iOS 15.7

Yes, it was working for me on iOS 15.7.2 on my iPhone second generation SE. Once I upgraded to iOS 16 my HDMI converter stopped working.
I don’t think it’s an app issue when you get a firmware has to be updated message. I think Apple knows they bricked millions of adapters globally and they’re ok with it. It’s what Apple does.
I agree. This problem started with me immediately after updating to iOS 16. What’s the likelihood that Netflix and other providers change their software at exactly the same time

How do we get 15.7.2 when we already have 16.2 and Apple isn’t offering 15.7.2 as an update?
I did it. Went back to 15 from 16. Of course there were problems. Some data is lost and you will have to manually reload some.
sadly you can’t do this without access to a computer so i’m stuck with ios 16 until apple decides to address the issue

Yes, used same approach with an iPhone SE (2nd generation) with iOS 15.6.1. Works, and gives me more storage just for Amazon Prime movies.
When I used the cbs app to try to play young and. Res t less for mother I had firmware error but no download or fix using iOS 16
HDMI adapter running on my second generation SE with iOS 16 works when playing movies and videos on Epoch Times.
Still does not work properly on Amazon prime where there is video but no sound.
I’m recommending to my family not to do the 16 update. Wish I would have known about this problem. So disappointing! Come On Apple! What a mess you have created for loyal Apple users.
Go back to iOS 15.7.
This is what 80% of iPhone and iPad users do.
