When I click on the button to open the lock screen, it stays there for about five seconds, and then goes blank on me. Is there a way to keep my lock screen open for a period longer than this?

The only option would be to buy an iPhone 14 with the always on Lock Screen option baked in. Previous iPhones have no means of altering the time the Lock Screen stays on.
