Snoozing the alarm on the new SE

It’s driving me crazy. I used to be able to hit a button and snooze the alarm. I don’t use it to wake up— I use it to get myself to shut the device, but sometimes I want to allow myself a few more minutes. But, no matter what button I hit, the alarm doesn’t sound again, even though I see the banner at the top of the screen. And the banner can’t be pulled down. And, yes, snooze is on, and I have restarted, and I’m not running any other timing apps, etc. etc. Help!

Hello liseinwoodacre,

First, ensure that the device is using the latest iOS version, which is currently iOS 16.0. This will ensure the latest fixes/improvements are applied: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. Choose the software update that you want to install. You can choose to stay on iOS or iPadOS 15 and still get important security updates. Or you can choose the option to upgrade to iOS or iPadOS 16.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

It may also help to try deleting all alarms that are set in the Clock app, and then re-create the needed one(s).

In some instances, toggling the Snooze option off and then back on may be able to help.

Cheers.
