I can’t ios15.7 to download, keeps giving me an error. How do I fix this?

OMG, thank you! This was so irritating. I had just under 7GBs free for storage but once I cleared up some space it finally worked.

I updated my phone on ios 16 instead . And yeah you need to free all available storage to get the update! Thanks!!
My experience was the same. It needed a lot more storage than what most people here seem to think to install.

My iPhone 8 failed to update iOS 15.7
Check how much storage you have left. If you don't have 5-10Gb free, try clearing some of that up, perhaps by offloading it to cloud and then re-running the update.
That refers to a message you get on your Mac when you connect the phone. Just click to install the update. It is a minor update to the iOS driver in the Mac. It is not an app.

Now sorted but it required 12GB plus free storage space to work. Now upgrading to IOS 16.
Yes, that is similar to my experience (I only needed 10Gb, but that's still a lot more than the 4Gb advertised).
I have i had trouble with downloading it too and i still haven’t figured it out ☹️
