Nearby devices in my network

My phone has suddenly began asking to connect to devices in my network for every app (probably only like social apps, like Tinder, Snapchat…? I have never to my memory seen this promt before. Is this a virus?

I apparently gave WhatsApp this permission. Does this automatically just connect my phone to every iPhone out there? Why would I want this?

My suggestion would be to stop all notifications on the app and delete it off your Home Screen and see if that fixes the issue

It’s these ones? Does accepting it cause it to connect everywhere all the time? Or no? Can I get a virus from them? I accidentally had accepted WhatsApp.
