Apple TV+ Tv show requests?

Hi Apple

please could you tell me if it’s possible to request particular Tv shows/movies for your streaming service? in the store I cannot find more 80’s classics.

I would like

murder she wrote and

the Walton’s

I’m located in France.

my 2nd question I asked yesterday in a different part of the community here and was told to ask it in the Apple Tv+ section which I hope I’ve now found

the question relates to the

”buying” and ”purchasing” of movies/shows. By purchasing or buying it indicates the customer owns the title forever, and it is not possible for most customers to know how to get the downloaded purchase out of the AppleTv+ app onto a separate device like a CD.

for example, Amazon Prime video told me I don’t own the 3 titles I purchased, I merely purchased a long rental…… and should a licence agreement change then titles get removed from the store even if they have been downloaded within the app on our devices and they will no longer work.

thank you for clarity on these questions.

This is a user forum, you are not addressing apple here  just  fellow users

I'm under the impression that appletv+ only feature shows and movies that apple themselves have produced so

I don't think shows from other sources will be arriving on it

you can try contacting apple Support ->  Get Support (apple.com)

and or give them feedback -> Product Feedback - Apple

  1. Apple streams ‘Apple Originals’ on Apple TV+, with exclusive licenses, i.e. content that is not available elsewhere, for a large part new content that developed especially for them, or where they were the first to secure a distribution deal. They don’t seem to be looking for “golden oldies”, nor suggestions from the public. They don’t seem to be looking for temporary licenses as some other streaming services do. Unfortunately, currently there do not seem to be streaming options in France for the two shows that you mentioned. You may be able to buy DVD box sets by season; I see those listed on online stores for France, e.g. Amazon.fr.
  2. A Buy purchase of movie content gives the user a license without end date, to play the content at any time in the foreseeable future. In contrast with subscriptions, it requires a one-time payment. The studio (Warner Bros, Universal, Paramount, Disney, Sony, etc.) is still the owner of the movie, just like with e.g. Amazon streaming movie buy purchases. The content is DRM protected, so that you can’t do with it as your please: No conversion to other formats. No transfer to other users (you can’t resell it, nor give it away); it is locked to your account. Downloads are possible, but streaming each viewing session from Apple’s servers is the primary intended method. Storing on DVD is impractical, as that doesn’t make it playable in a set-top DVD player, and you would need the computer and Apple ID account, as used for download, to playback the file. It may be better to consider a huge dedicated disk if you want local files. In the eyes of Apple, the days of optical discs are (far) behind us.

Users do not need to subscribe to Apple TV+ in order to buy or rent movies.

The Apple TV+ subscription is for access to specific Apple TV+ content. [1][2][3][4]

These are independent services.

I just want to look in the store, find something, buy it and know that even if it’s taken away 2 years later from the store, it doesn’t matter because I own it and can still watch it.

While iTunes Store movie titles do not have a planned end date, it is possible in exceptional circumstances that studios sell some of their IP, or are otherwise unable to continue to offer said title in the Store. Then a downloaded copy will still work.

Hi and thank you for your reply.

you see, I’m not looking to belong to many subscription companies, I’d like to just have Amazon prime video, but, due to them telling me I don’t own the 3 movies I purchased it encouraged me to look at Apple. I’m not happy with Disney+ political situation and will not be ever considering renewing my subscription with them.

So I looked at AppleTv+ And found lots of movies and even bundle offers that are more competitive than on the prime store. however, that’s when my concern over my purchases being taken away from me concerned me. I don’t want the headache of trying to convert any kind of file or have to transfer anything to disks. I just want to look in the store, find something, buy it and know that even if it’s taken away 2 years later from the store, it doesn’t matter because I own it and can still watch it.

i found for example on AppleTv+ store (within the app) Home Alone 1&2 movies for €12,99 for me this a fabulous offer because on Amazon prime store they are each €9,99

for a year on AppleTv+ it will cost me €59,88 which is a fair price. But I’m not into the vast majority of the titles that come with the subscription, this is why I’m looking at what’s available to purchase through AppleTv +
